The author talks about a mechanism to refresh / reload. Its probably not got to do with SPAs vs MPAs. SPAs can have refresh / reload mechanisms, but not all do. Same for native / mobile apps, some have them and others don't.

In the browser you can always reload the page which presumably does the same thing (full sync). Already did that twice today in Evernote.

  And sometimes when you do that you get the big scary "resubmit data" popup...
