I think you are being disingenuous when you try to stereotype people from an entire country as lazy and incompetent. Many of the top notch software companies including Google, FB, Amazon, etc., have many Indians working and thriving in them. Indian software companies export around $121B worth of software every year. If what you said were true, why would any company want to hire anyone from India? It seems more like you made a poor judgement in picking a consulting company and didn't have enough knowledge to know before hand that they weren't up to the mark. Building quality software is very hard. If some consulting company offers to build it for cheap and at good quality, without any credentials backing them up, they are faking it.

- harigov 9y agoIt's not the smartest Indians who move out of the country, but the ones who are in seek of a better life. They may be same in many cases but not always. Just as an anecdote, some of the smartest people I worked with are still in India and continue to work there, with no aim to move anywhere.
