Besides the self inflicted drama, the most damning thing in the article is that Russian Intelligence was organizing events protesting immigrants in USA soil.
I feel that should've included more than an mention.
- rsynnott 9y agoWell, it’s mentioned, what else are they going to do with it? It’s deserving of a story of its own, and people are writing those stories, but this particular story is about propaganda more broadly.
- tambienben 9y agoAnything more than a passing accusation. Some kind of reference would a been nice, given the way those kinds of claims have been used lately.
- tambienben 9y agoThat's where I quit reading. "Fake news" indeed.
- blusterXY 9y ago> "Later, it turned out that fake Facebook accounts linked to the Russian government helped to spread stories about Twin Falls and even organized one of the rallies there." You should take this with a truckload of salt. There is zero mention of who exactly has "linked" what accounts to Russia, yet there have been repeated discredited claims that have shown that "suspicious" accounts are nothing more than people critical of Hillary Clinton and US imperialism in Syria.
