If only you'd planned for the traffic from HN!
Website looks down to me.
- TheArcane 9y agoYup, down for me too.
- bdukic 9y agoFor me as well.
- ainiriand 9y agoHN killed it. I dont understand why small projects dont start with a free plan from Cloudflare for example. It removes a lot of pain from your life.
- bpicolo 9y agoHelps a blog, doesn't really help for the dynamic web-app bit.
- camidealweek 9y agoHi, I did consider to use cloudflare. However, I saw that at least business plan could help my service, but it is really out of the budget now.
- kristerv 9y agonoone can access it, yet it's on the front page - must be good :D
- tbirrell 9y agoIts still down
- samnwa 9y agoPwned. Hilarious. Feel free to downvote me everyone, but this made my day.
- goodoldboys 9y agoperhaps its a new kind of market fit validation - you're only allowed to spin up a micro instance and if it gets overwhelmed, you've validated your idea!
- camidealweek 9y agoSorry for your bad experience. I did launch the service with 2 linode-2gb and 2 linode-1gb, and yes it didn't fit with the situation. I've increased the resources now. I hope that it will be a balance between my budget and server performance. Thanks for your message.
- chrismorgan 9y agoCongratulations: you have now provided incentive to use utterly untuned WordPress instead of static HTML or anything else faster.
- camidealweek 9y agoYes, you're right. I didn't plan well for this amount of traffic from HN. I've increased resources for the servers now, I hope you will go back and review it. Thanks.
