I remember back in about 2001/2002, when I was an 11/12 year old with dial up, I wrote some software to send/receive UDP packets. I sent a copy to a friend, and then we tested it, and our messages were coming back and forth. I'll never forget the wonder I felt, the joy, the prospect.
