I did this with fail2ban. Initially just blocking the IP, and then sweeping back through occasionally and blocking the whole subnet when I had a few offenders

I did this with fail2ban. Initially just blocking the IP, and then sweeping back through occasionally and blocking the whole subnet when I had a few offenders in the subnet. There was no negative impact for me.
