- jon_adler 9y agoWe are investigating using Scala and Akka (using actors) for concurrent processing. No locks are needed...
- kaeluka 9y agoUnless two actors share state, or use global mutable state.
- MereInterest 9y agoAbsolutely. I once hunted down a segfault that happened because one thread was closing a GUI window while another thread was loading a deserialization library. Not fun at all.
- brlewis 9y agoDoesn't even have to be global.
