- S_A_P 9y agoSomething tells me that doing so would raise eyebrows and require you to explain yourself. While it would be easy to say, hey I read this article and I figured I would help out. I cant help but thinking the bank would still press charges because you are in possession of stolen credit card information. Additionally, while you can tell what kind of card it is from the CC#(3-AMEX/Diners club,4-Visa, 5-Mastercard, 6-Discover, etc) you cant always tell what the issuing bank is. Is it a capital one visa? is it a chase visa? do you want to do all that legwork, white hat or not?
