- eganist 9y agoThat's not the primary motivation right now. Much of the investment they're attracting is in support of building the technologies to support products down the road, as best as anyone can tell from the outside. malgorithms can correct me if he's feeling it. And you've been on HN 3+ years and not seen all the keybase proofs in peoples' profiles? Mine's a good example.
- grzm 9y agoTo be honest, although I haven't been around that long, I have noticed the keybase proofs and still wondered about the purpose of the company as a whole. It seems to have something to do with identity, but other than that I haven't been interested enough to search out more information about them.
