Looks like they registered more than just a "few tech companies," I've gotten the following error message testing which names they might have blocked: "this name has been reserved by Keybase staff, perhaps for your team. Reach out to chis@keybase.io for more info." Some names tested: Ford, Nike, Safeway (though wholefoods was available- while "wholefoodsmarket" was reserved). Tech seemed pretty well covered: Google, Robinhood, ProtonMail, all throwing the above message.
