- krrrh 9y agoIt does create the possibility of leaking strategic project information unless names are intentionally obscured.
- dingaling 9y agoThe principle is good but people are criticising the implementation; arbitrary strings in a flat namespace is messy and confusing. Domain names have already established general rules and procedures for this event and basing the team-names on subdomains would have been cleaner and saner than trying to reinvent the wheel with blacklists and human reviewers. Who gets ford as a team-name, Ford Aviation a small charter operator in the UK or Ford Motors? Domain registration has already resolved that one.
- fiatjaf 9y agoHow? Domain name squatters do exist. And domain names can change ownership.
