I also have an X60, would recommend the X250/60/70. It is surprisingly smaller than you would expect from photos, and runs cooler/longer than the X60. The downsides are that the keyboard isn't as good - and how acceptable it is depends on exactly which supplier you get. On the other hand the keys arent quite as cramped as on the X60. You can also get an extended battery which gives you more than 12 hours runtime. Plus you can get nice IPS 1080p displays which is a plus, and it still has ethernet. Have a look at the gemini palmtop for a potential future arm linux machine.
