Worst use of the word "biplane" in an aviation article?
- tyingq 9y agoIt's not a biplane, is it? I only see one wing. Edit: It's a Cessna 172, and for sure, not a biplane.
- larrydag 9y agoConfused why they thought a Cessna 172 was a biplane. Its even in the title of the article. One thing for sure it shows the durability of the Cessna planes. Testament to that design and construction.
- EvanAnderson 9y agoDefinitely. I saw the title and immediately thought: Oh, wow! Somebody set a new continuous flight record (since the old one was in a 172, decidedly _not_ a biplane). AFAIK the 172 in question is still on display in the baggage claim area at McCarran Internation in Las Vegas.
