I had no problem writing characters 20 years ago. But now, I forget so many characters. It is mainly because that I use computers/phones all the time. Basically we speak when we are 'writing' on computers. Writing is the same as anything you mastered in life, you lose it when you are not using it. Computers changed our life, and writing Chinese characters with pen will be a lost art. In a way, we can still write it on our phone, does it matter?
