Ridiculous. Local communities should invest in community-owned (public) and/or small locally-owned commercial wireless infrastructure. Verizon, Comcast, AT&T and the rest have stolen our infrastructure and banked the tax credits every time they get the chance. They laugh all the way to the bank and nothing is ever done about it. People should install lots of Wifi access points and link them up, rather than courting more cellular tower sites.
