- yan 16y agoNo. I'm sorry, but you're cutting this all wrong.

- c1sc0 16y agoMore like, wow! Creationists daring to post on HN! Who would've thought? I'm kinda curious what was deleted actually.
- ugh 16y agoI hope this is a fair paraphrase of the deleted comments: Dating this gene is only possible with the assumptions of evolution, if they are not true the date put on the gene is meaningless. Since both belief in evolution and creation are based on faith (and, I guess that was implied, thus equally likely) ascribing a date to the gene is not a good idea. Nobody disagrees with the first sentence. The second sentence is bogus.
- teilo 16y agoHere is one Creationist who wishes that other Creationists would actually take the time to read and study the evidence and theories of evolution as evolutionists understand them, so that they can stop making bone-headed assumptions and comments which make the rest of us look like idiots.

- sigzero 16y ago"This is the first clear evidence that suggests our ability to produce sperm is very ancient, probably originating at the dawn of animal evolution 600 million years ago," That is pure guesswork. You only have to read the whole article to see it is a "theory".
- sigzero 16y agoI would also add...cool none the less.
