The SSA sends you one at birth (now?).
- Casseres 9y agoIf someone applies for it on the baby's behalf. It's still an optional program as far as I know. If you don't have a SSN, you'll need an ITIN for taxes. (ITIN - Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)
