    You do, technically. It's classed as POM (Prescription Only Medicine). However, there's a loophole in the drugs laws that mean buying POMs from overseas is not illegal. These laws were drawn up in the 60s before the advent of online pharmacies. I'd be surprised if the law isn't changed in the next decade.

      Actually, buying controlled drugs from overseas counts as smuggling. For small quantities the risk is minimal though. The real reason Johann had no trouble buying Provigil is because when this article was written, it was not a controlled substance. As of late 2009 though, it is available on prescription only.
