I use a ViBook (http://www.villagetronic.com/vibook/index.html http://www.villagetronic.com/vibook/index.html) at work in order to have two 22-inch monitors hooked up to my MacBook. Performance is surprisingly good, especially for low-intensity tasks like text editing. Watching videos on it absolutely kills the CPU, but having another monitor for terminals and text editors is great.
