I'm fairly happy with the sshfs implementation provided by the FUSE project: https://github.com/osxfuse/sshfs/releases https://github.com/osxfuse/sshfs/releases Once you set some flags like sshfs -o auto_cache,reconnect,defer_permissions,negative_vncache,noappledouble user@host:/ /path/to/local/ it's pretty robust. I can then edit files remotely but still use Sublime Text :)
