While I know it might be a little hidden, I'd just like to say I'm really glad Will Bond of Package Control[0] was able to join[1] the Sublime Text team. Having first class support for Package Control in ST is definitely one of the features I value the most out of Sublime Text and IMHO one of the things that still keeps it very competitive with Atom other text editors.
I use packages from ST almost every day and plus I wouldn't have gotten my first job without Will (thanks for hiring me even after seeing all that terrible code I wrote), so I can actually say my life would be a lot different without his influence. I'm really happy he's officially part of the team.

- thecrumb 9y agoGood - he's working on Sublime. Bad - he's neglecting his plugins a bit. Hopefully with 3.0 out the door officially he can balance things out a bit.
- rhencke 9y agoThe Sublime community is blessed to have his work supported in a way that lets him dedicate his time to Sublime Text as fully as he does. Given he one of few people who can work directly on Sublime itself, I am glad his focus is there.
- tombusby 9y agoSpeaking of, the GitGutter plugin I use just broke on this update. https://github.com/jisaacks/GitGutter https://github.com/jisaacks/GitGutter Doesn't even appear in the installable list now. Hopefully he'll get some of these hickups with package manager sorted.
- wbond 9y agoIf it isn't in the installable list, you may have it installed already. Package Control is open source and contributions are welcome! We finally get to rip out support for ST2 and Python 2.6 now also!
- tombusby 9y agoYeah that was a part of the problem. https://github.com/jisaacks/GitGutter/issues/444 https://github.com/jisaacks/GitGutter/issues/444 It was still installed... but broken.
- geoelectric 9y agoWeird, it was the first thing I installed after installing 3.0 as a new install. Wonder if it's an update issue in particular.
- tombusby 9y agoIt's an update issue, I'm talking to a fair few people who had the same issue on a GitHub issue. I have resolved it now. This update appears to have broken a lot of plugins.
- wbond 9y agoI don't think ST3 broke anything. More likely Package Control 3.3.0, that was released three days ago, is the issue.
- geoelectric 9y agoSorry, bad wording on my part. By update issue I meant something where you had to have the version already installed prior to updating, vs. a fresh install (which worked for me).
- karthik248 9y agoImmediately after the update if wasn't working, but restarting sublime seems to have fixed it
