Tesla has significantly reduced the nudge to put your hands on the wheel. I would hate it if they forced to keep my hands on the wheel all the time. There are many situations (stop and go traffic, miles of freeway with no one around) where it doesn't make sense to continually hold your wheel.
- craftyguy 9y agoOk, maybe that suggestion was a bit drastic since you do make a good point about being able take your hands off while stopped, but there should be all sorts of bells/whistles/lights going off if you take your hands off the steering wheel while at speed.
- dmode 9y agoThe nudge is pretty prominent as the whole instrument cluster beeps. It also punishes you if you ignore the warnings by disabling autopilot (I think after 3 tries).
