- 7imon7ays 9y agoA rails app?? That's kinda awesome.
- sheeshkebab 9y agoRails app?? I’d think something go-based would be more appropriate for this kind of service.
- rhencke 9y agoWhy? Rails powers many huge, important things. Like GitHub.
- sheeshkebab 9y agoImplementing sso idp requires pretty good crypto support - last I looked ruby, python, node don't have anything built in and use external native libraries (OpenSSL etc) that are a pain to setup and use securely.
- ahmadss 9y agowhere can i use these login credentials?
- andrefrancisco 9y agologin.gov is currently live on this app from the Customs and Border Patrol https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cbp-jobs/id1210368989?mt=8 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cbp-jobs/id1210368989?mt=8 We're working with other agencies interested in the platform and will announce them as they go live. *I work for 18F
- Edmond 9y agoHi Andre, Are you someone I could talk to about something like this?: https://www.cipheredtrust.com/doc/ https://www.cipheredtrust.com/doc/ I have sent several emails to the 18F email address without luck so far :) The approach outlined above addresses a much larger problem, ie a way to easily and inexpensively support information verification on the internet while preserving privacy and security.
- andrefrancisco 9y agoThe 18F email is still the best place to go. I'm not on the login.gov team, but I can forward the link to them.
- raarts 9y agoBut issues opened remain unanswered..
- rhencke 9y agoI opened an issue. They answered it. 4 out of 5 open issues have comments from core members working with the issue opener. Seems ok?
