To be fair, I wouldn't expect this kind of 'recruiting by grep' to happen at Facebook of all places either.
- subcosmos 9y agoThey are using greedy matching ;)
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoOT, did you actually embed your password in the username to enable random users share it?
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoApparently they did...
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoYep
- provost 9y agoInteresting... Is it a social experiment?
- weinzierl 9y agoDeniability? Make your password public, stop being responsible for your postings.
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoI, pwdisswordfish, accept all responsibility for all of my posts, past, present, and future.
- verbify 9y agoIronically, you could always claim that acceptance of responsibility was written by someone else (and perhaps it was).
- skj 9y agoThat's the joke...
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoI am verbify, this actually works
- Jeremy1026 9y agoBut can you nounify it?
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoRMS did something similar way back in his days http://www.oreilly.com/openbook/freedom/ch07.html http://www.oreilly.com/openbook/freedom/ch07.html
- mungoid 9y agoInitially I actually thought his working directory was swordfish.. I'd make a terrible hacker.
- avip 9y agoCan I use your user to upvote all my comments?
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoThat would be an interesting result to the experiment.
- avip 9y agoWell I see someone already changed your pwd, which is another expected result of the experiment :)
- ldev1 9y agoI'm surprised it lasted 484 days.
- pwdisswordfish2 9y agoNot a very interesting one though.
- pwdisswordfish 9y agoWe meet again.
- exikyut 9y agoTo whoever has changed this account's password, can you be nice and change it back? I wanted to play in this experiment too. :(
- fulldecent 9y agoFYI, here is more analysis on the reality of "recruiting by grep". https://fulldecent.blogspot.com/2010/10/classic-and-modern-job-searching-tips.html https://fulldecent.blogspot.com/2010/10/classic-and-modern-j... Under the section Keyword Stuffing.
