FWIW, in France, those who embrace critical theory (https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/critical-theory/ https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/critical-theory/) in that fashion are branded radical/far-left (Frederic Lordon, Nuit Debout, Le Monde Diplomatique etc.).
