Xamarin Forms is a dead end in my opinion. I enjoyed writing non-Forms with a shared MVVM framework, but my job was in Forms. I also find mobile development to be too cornered. I was doing both platforms by myself with no room to grow as a developer. I spent too much time in Forms chasing down Forms bugs and trying to figure out why the latest version of Forms broke something new. So a bit of burnout as well. Hope that helps.
