Amazon does the same thing, once they lock up your account there is nothing much you can do except make a lot of noise and hope you'll be heard. I had a horrible experience with a buyer account, they locked it up, and I didn't even receive a notification about it (I thought it was hacked...). The problem is that I had some packages on their way and I could not access any tracking info, etc. After a couple of distressing days, access got restored with no explanation as to why it was locked in the first place, and I still have to hear from them what happened.
