- andrewingram 16y agoWeird, I live in London and really don't see the fuss. San Francisco looks much more enjoyable.
- dmitri1981 16y agoSomething to do with grass being greener over there?
- socksy 16y agoThe grass is greener here but only because of the bloody rain.
- andrewingram 16y agoIt's largely to do with the fact that there seems to be such amazingly varied environments within a days travel of San Francisco, not to mention lots of exciting activities that come from such a massive bay area and coastline. I'm sure London and by extension the rest of England are nice to visit, but I want proper mountains and national parks, not the wussy ones we have here. I want proper beaches, and I want to be able to take advantage of my very strong English accent :)

- pclark 16y agosome friends just moved to SF and insist it's literally x1000 better than the UK for startups.
- flog 16y agoI'm a New Zealander working in London and there are far more opportunities here than elsewhere in the world (bar the US). I've managed to find funding here for my startup, something that I sincerely doubt I would have found south of the equator. So the UK is a great opportunity for commonwealth countries that can't get visas for the US.
