I wonder if functional programming might be something to implement with a "flock" of unikernels? I'm not even sure what I mean, but it seems like decomposing into unikernels might allow entirely new architectures. (Perhaps analogous to a VM allowing better use of hardware resources, unikernels might allow complete abstraction away from, and across, hardware??)
