The article you linked to certainly raises an eyebrow, but it is far from a definite proof that her persona is fake... And it uses a bit too much slut-shaming in it (maybe not by puritan standards?).
- gertef 9y agoWhen the original character is promoting themself as a slut to get undue attention to engineering work, slut-shaming is in scope.
- krastanov 9y agoAnd if I promote myself as a Star Trek fan to bring attention to my engineering work, nerd-shaming is also in scope. Or a body-builder programmer shamed for being a "bro" by us nerds. Why do we need to shame each other about our quirks? (as long as those quirks do no harm, but as far as I know, Sexy Cyborg does not flaunt herself around kindergartens)
- duncan_bayne 9y agoFor what it's worth, I think only puritans worry about kindergarten kids seeing breasts.
- timaz 9y agoI agree, it goes a little too much on the slut-shaming. There's also a subreddit I found regarding this, but it also devolves into comments on her body.
