The python code in the post looks a bit funny with the `end` statement at the end. I had to ready it twice to be sure that Hypothesis hadn't been rewritten for Ruby!
Also, by "supporting Hypothesis", you mean "giving money to DR MacIver", right? This is not completely clear from the post.
- krithix 9y agoThe `end` was our mistake—fixed!
- ralmeida 9y agoDoesn't say specifically, but from following the links at the end of the post, it seems they are either financially sponsoring the developer(s), and/or donating time of their developers, and/or some other logistical support (space to work in their office, access to servers or resources for testing, etc).

It's specifically in the form of contracting me to develop some features rather than a donation of money - support for testing with Pandas, and improving the existing numpy support to a lesser extent (mostly with a goal of providing a more solid foundation for the Pandas work).
- slackoverflower 9y agoLol. Not that surprised since Stripe's backend is basically still Ruby on Rails. Probably a Ruby engineer that wrote the article, writing Python for the first time in a while.
