The thing that annoys me is that both good passive solar design and utilizing the lessons of "vernacular architecture" are both crippled by trying to make houses that have roughly the same appearance that people are familiar with.

- mmagin 9y agoNot really, I'm a dilettante at this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Village_Homes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Village_Homes is one of the more successful developments that really focused on passive solar design that I'm aware of.
