Doesn't this fit more appropriately the other way around? "I don't know. Why would you use a language other than PHP? Most people use PHP. What's so special about you that you need what another language has to offer?" In your example, the PC is the inferior but nearly ubiquitous (and easier) choice. Isn't that the position PHP is in as well?
