The problem is an inability to synthesize knowledge from outside disciplines. The piece itself is proof. No consideration of the economic factors or sociological factors at play. Just inward focus and self examination unaided by the very applicable knowledge provided by other domains of study. I strongly suspect this will all prove to be a self correcting problem. The solution may be closer than many realize.
