If I was his kid, I wouldn't listen to him either. His kid no doubt knows what a blowhard he is. I dropped out of college at age twenty. I went back later. Neither of my sons felt compelled to go. It is fine to argue against the idea that young people should feel compelled to go to college and to catalog the fact that people have a lot of erroneous ideas about college. It is not so cool to try to actively campaign against college as an option.
