In home shop it all comes to what is easiest. Most boards that I do are single runs. If laser cutter can do single run on site without hassle of getting toner transfer or uv run that's great. I did not see that this is different from single run operation (considering how it is wired) so no point to wait for pcbs. That can wait for tens or more pcbs. Also it boils down to personal need. This is hand crafted and tailored piece. With this setup you can easily modify and correct everything to work.
