I agree completely, and honestly I did something very similar with books. It doesn't really matter if you're staying up until 1 AM imagining things, watching TV

I agree completely, and honestly I did something very similar with books. It doesn't really matter if you're staying up until 1 AM imagining things, watching TV, reading a book, or any other activity… The issue is that you're not asleep getting ready for school, perhaps not having done your homework. The difference though is that somebody looking at a smart phone is seen as antisocial, where is someone buried in a book is not, although of course the person in the phone could be reading a book! Most of this is with the politicians call "optics" you know?
