At some point, you have to assign at least some of the responsibility to the folks getting loans they cannot afford. It doesn't make predatory lending right, but lets not dehumanize or patronize the victims by implying they lack agency or responsibility. Stinks that the woman's commute is an hour and a half, but come on there are a LOT of people who do that commute. Reducing the commute to 10 minutes is not necessity, and does not excuse throwing judgement out of the window.
