Dexter: the robotic arm to end scarcity
- pavel_lishin 9y ago> to end scarcity huh?
- grizzles 9y ago1kg Payload is just a little too low for me. The robot Alphabet's Meka Robotics made to sell but didn't sell (damn them) could lift a 5kg payload. For my interest as a hobbyist roboticist, 5kg is kind of the tipping point where you can automate some truly interesting things.
- Someone 9y agoBoth the software (https://github.com/kgallspark/Dexter; https://github.com/kgallspark/Dexter; GPL3) and the hardware (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2108244 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2108244, https://cad.onshape.com/documents/2af8ed0e61a34ebf69284c68/w/72caf65e51bde98e456925d2/e/6843c182cbf9181dbb307455 https://cad.onshape.com/documents/2af8ed0e61a34ebf69284c68/w...) are open, so maybe somebody will design a stronger version.

- grizzles 9y agoAnything construction related. Personally I'd love to take on the challenge of building a stonemason bot.
