I have always wondered how much of what I see on Hacker News is "sponsored content." Not that there is anything wrong with it.
- owlmirror 9y agoThere is a lot wrong with not declaring sponsored content as such, so much so that it's illegal in many countries.
- jmcgough 9y agoMany popular tech blog posts are written to promote something - the company that wrote it, the tech that's used, an engineer looking for exposure, etc.
- nemild 9y agoThe other question is how many upvotes are "sponsored" upvotes.
