Faster and slower are relative terms.

Nothing about AMP is making the web faster, which it says it's doing on the project homepage. It's making a fork of the web to be shown on Google that is 'faster'.
- bb611 9y agoI realize you hate AMP and rational discourse is unlikely to change your mind, but here's what their homepage actually says: > The AMP Project is an open-source initiative aiming to make the web better for all. The project enables the creation of websites and ads that are consistently fast, beautiful and high-performing across devices and distribution platforms.
- ino 9y agoI think amp in spirit, practice and implementation is an attack on the open web. I understand how it works and Your arguments so far aren't changing my mind. Thanks for posting the homepage text, for posterity.
