I know this is a bit trite, but if I'm just trying to read some news article, the fact that Google served it directly affects me basically nilch. There are the publisher dynamics at play on a larger level, but the user experience is .... really good! Things are fast. Perhaps someone should make some PaaS to help out all these publishers make fast AMP-ish pages, so they don't have to rely on Google to do it for them
