Oh please. This event also had Faith Goldy as a panelist who was recently fired from Rebel Media. She constantly talks about the "JQ" which I disturbingly learned stands for the Jewish Question. There is no obligation whatsoever for Ryerson to give this topic airtime in Canada, and we have stronger laws here around hate speech which the alt-right would clearly be in violation of.
And cry me a river that you can't have advertisers on your YouTube channel. I can't think of a more privileged problem to complain about in 2017.
- liberte82 9y agoPeople who want to tear down institutions will use the good faith of those institutions as a weapon against them. That's the real issue that's happening with free speech right now, not these neo-Nazis getting their feelings hurt.
- cholantesh 9y agoWhining about 'free speech' is turning into a nice little farm industry. Jordan Peterson's Patreon windfall is a good example.
- meowface 9y agoYou realize Gad Saad, the person in this tweet, is himself Jewish and had to escape Lebanon as a child due to anti-Semitic violence? He is not remotely alt-right. He's a tenured professor. I don't know how you could associate him with Nazism.
