My father became aware of this and started shipping stuff to myself [and presumably my sibling] in order to clear out his in-home crap sitting around when he died. So far, I've been thankful. I've been going through my own backlog of crap and it's been great. I have to imagine it's been similar for my father and my sister. My father's goal is no have as little bullshit for me and my sibling to sort through as possible when he dies. To me, this is great. Not that I hate my father or whatever, but that he wants as small a Death Footprint as possible. So do I for other reasons. Such conversations are good to have.
