My theory is it had to do with hunting in that era. Animals were big, all you had was a stone tipped spear and if you got injured there was nothing anyone could do for you. I'm sure death and debilitating injuries came early and often.
- simonh 9y ago8k years ago is 6k BC which is well into the agricultural era. Just look at the picture at the top of the article, or read the very first sentence.
- microwavecamera 9y agoIt was late I misread that. But it's still the neolithic era, there wasn't mass agriculture or urbanization yet. And competing tribes and the advent of warfare would have played a role.
