My impression is that ICOs are motivated solely by greed. There isn't a whole lot here other than an insatiable thirst to make money.

- lossolo 9y agoAnd most of investments are motivated by what? Altruism ? Maybe 0.1% of all private investments are motivated by something else than "thirst to make money".

- lisper 9y agoThere are many ways to make money. One is to create real value. Another is to scam people. Still another is to take advantage of opportunities to seek rents or take advantage of non-monetized externalities like dumping pollutants into the environment. Yes, all investors want to make money. But some care about how it's made. Not all profit is created equal.
