When the news about Soundcloud's future emerged, discussions turned through some thoughts about how to help SC keep its roots and grow into what it can be rather than be a Spotify competitor. The Amazon One-Click patent was brought up about how to allow buying the song / supporting the artist/record label you're enjoying. Perhaps there is a chance now for SC (and others) to use this? (It'd be interesting to see how often the patent thwarted any business decisions. Also, I wonder if this was considering in the funding round...)
