There are an estimated 3,000,000 gpus performing Etherum mining today. Most of those aren't verifying any smart contracts, but they are running code for Etherum nonetheless
- csomar 9y agoThe number of mining equipment doesn't translate to a number of nodes. It could be a single person and as we seen in bitcoin mining turned out to be "very" (like in a few hands) centralized.
