- reitanqild 9y agoEh, before i get too popular there are two sides the recent trainwreck threads. Not everything has been very enlightened on either side, sadly.
- RandVal30142 9y agoI'm not commenting on the trainwreck that is the open commentary(ha), but specifically the spree downvotes on inane or just plain informative comments. Haven't really seen activity like that in other threads unless they are bringing in a lot of out-of-site new users. But this low volume thread apparently has a queue of users ready to knock down people responding to an inquiry about what Daily Stormer is..

- RandVal30142 9y ago>new users cannot downvote Huh. No you didnt misunderstand me I think I was just mistaken in what new users could do. Is there a known age threshold when voting kicks in?
- reitanqild 9y ago500 points or something. Before undown was available my plan was to create a new sockpuppet every time my last one crossed 500. That way I wouldn't have to worry about accidentally downvoting anyone. The scary thing about this is there are a number of old matured accounts in good standing that seems to be defending nazis. It might just be people with stronger/different principles than me though.
- AnimalMuppet 9y agoA bunch of the downvotes have nothing to do with liking white power. Rather, they have something to do with disliking calls for censorship, imprisonment, and mandatory psychological treatment. (The last one in particular makes me think of the USSR.)
- reitanqild 9y agoHave my upvote. This concerns me as well and as much as I hate nazi ideology I'm fairly sure any special rules will be abused by politicians and media. (For practical examples just look at how "hate speech" is thrown around to silence people who never argumented for hate.)
