Why do you think tokens make any sense? They seem like the equivalent of gift certificates for specific shops, and just as inconvenient. My money can buy everything, do you think that creating lots of different currencies for specific tasks is really a benefit?
- beambot 9y agoMost countries also create their own currencies and monetary policies. It's worth asking, "Why do they do that?" I'm guessing the answer to that question probably has a lot of analogies relevant to cryptocurrencies.
- nivertech 9y agoBut some countries also unified their currencies: USD replaced state currencies and EUR replaced most European currencies.
